Golden, crispy waffles bursting with warm cinnamon flavor and topped with fluffy, spiced whipped cream. Perfect for cozy mornings or indulgent brunches.

Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Waffles

¼ cup (57 g) butter, melted

1 ½ cups (354 g) milk

1 teaspoon lemon juice

2 large eggs

3 tablespoons white sugar

3 tablespoons light brown sugar

2 ½ cups (300 g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Cinnamon Whipped Cream

1 cup (240 g) heavy whipping cream

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Whip the Cream: In a bowl, combine cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Beat until stiff peaks form. Chill until ready to use.

  2. Preheat Waffle Iron: Heat your waffle iron to its highest setting.

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, milk, lemon juice, eggs, and vanilla.

  4. Add Dry Ingredients: Add sugars, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until smooth.

  5. Cook Waffles: Lightly brush waffle iron with melted butter. Add batter and cook 3–5 minutes or until golden and crisp.

  6. Serve: Top hot waffles with a generous dollop of cinnamon whipped cream.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, serve waffles immediately after cooking.
  • Whipped cream can be made a few hours in advance.
  • Try adding chopped nuts or fruit for variety.
