Description

Crispy oven-baked chicken served on a soft bun with a bold, creamy garlic mayo. This easy sandwich recipe is juicy, flavorful, and a perfect homemade alternative to takeout!


Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1–2 eggs for egg wash

Soft sandwich buns

For the Garlic Mayo:

1 cup mayonnaise

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper.

  3. Set up a dredging station: mix flour and garlic powder in one bowl, panko in another. (Optional: add a third bowl with beaten eggs for egg wash.)

  4. Coat chicken in flour, dip in egg wash (if using), and coat with panko.

  5. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes until crispy and golden.

  6. While baking, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice for the garlic mayo.

  7. Once cooked and slightly cooled, assemble sandwiches with buns, garlic mayo, and your favorite toppings.
