Description
A quick, easy, and healthy snack, these crispy cinnamon banana chips are air-fried to perfection for a satisfying crunch. Made with just ripe bananas, coconut oil, cinnamon, and sugar, they’re naturally gluten-free, vegan, and full of sweet, spicy flavor.
Ingredients
2 ripe but firm bananas
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Instructions
-
Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick.
-
In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
-
Gently toss the banana slices in the melted coconut oil to coat them evenly.
-
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the banana slices and toss lightly to distribute the coating.
-
Set your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) and preheat.
-
Place the banana slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
-
Air fry the banana slices for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
-
Remove the banana chips from the air fryer and let them cool completely on a wire rack to crisp up further before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover banana chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.
- For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or a drizzle of honey once the chips are cool.
- You can substitute coconut oil with butter for a richer flavor.
