Description

A quick, easy, and healthy snack, these crispy cinnamon banana chips are air-fried to perfection for a satisfying crunch. Made with just ripe bananas, coconut oil, cinnamon, and sugar, they’re naturally gluten-free, vegan, and full of sweet, spicy flavor.

Ingredients

2 ripe but firm bananas

1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. Gently toss the banana slices in the melted coconut oil to coat them evenly.

  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the banana slices and toss lightly to distribute the coating.

  5. Set your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) and preheat.

  6. Place the banana slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.

  7. Air fry the banana slices for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  8. Remove the banana chips from the air fryer and let them cool completely on a wire rack to crisp up further before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftover banana chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or a drizzle of honey once the chips are cool.
  • You can substitute coconut oil with butter for a richer flavor.
