Ingredients
Cheese Circles:
- 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese (shredded)
Beef Filling:
- 16 ounces ground beef
- ½ medium onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the Beef Mixture: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula. Once browned, add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the beef is fully browned and the vegetables soften. Drain any excess grease.
- Season and Add Cheese: Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture. Stir in cream cheese and cook until fully melted and combined. Let it cool slightly.
- Create Cheese Circles: On the prepared baking sheet, create 8 evenly spaced cheese circles (about ¼ cup of shredded cheese per circle). Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Assemble the Roll-Ups: After the cheese circles cool for about 1 minute, spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture onto each cheese circle. Roll or fold the cheese around the filling to form roll-ups. Let them set for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy your keto-friendly Philly cheesesteak rolls.
Notes
- Spicy Version: Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for extra heat.
- Cheese Variation: Substitute Monterey Jack with provolone, cheddar, or mozzarella.
- Veggie Add-ins: Add mushrooms, spinach, or jalapeños for added flavor and texture.
