Ingredients

Dark Chocolate:

  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate (approx. 2 oz.), chopped

Almond Milk:

  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)

Cocoa Powder:

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

Cane Sugar:

  • 1 tbsp cane sugar

Vanilla Extract:

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Orange Juice:

  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice

Orange Peel Rinds:

  • 23 orange peel rinds

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate: In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the chopped dark chocolate and almond milk. Stir frequently until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  2. Add Ingredients: Lower the heat and add cocoa powder, cane sugar, vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange peel rinds.
  3. Simmer: Let the mixture simmer gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Strain and Serve: Remove from heat and strain out orange peels if desired. Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream or chocolate shavings. Serve warm.
