Ingredients
Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Butter Mixture:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Others:
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and set aside.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add chicken broth to deglaze the pan. Stir in the butter mixture and cook until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Combine and Simmer: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the chicken before serving.
Notes
- For a creamier sauce, add ¼ cup of heavy cream or coconut milk.
- For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the butter mixture.
- Chicken thighs can be used as a juicier alternative to chicken breasts.
- For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with firm tofu or tempeh.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of chicken broth.
