Description
These rice paper rolls are filled with Thai basil-infused ground beef, fresh herbs, and optional veggies, making them a bold and refreshing appetizer or meal. Perfect for parties, meal prep, or light dinners.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small shallot, finely chopped
1 pound ground beef (85/15)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon lime juice
½ teaspoon chili flakes or 1 minced Thai chili
1 cup Thai basil, chopped
8–10 rice paper wrappers
Optional Add-ins:
½ cup mint
½ cup cilantro
¼ cup green onion
¼ cup julienned carrots or cucumber
Dipping sauce of choice
Instructions

Heat oil in a skillet. Add garlic and shallot; sauté until fragrant.

Add beef and cook until browned. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and chili. Simmer 2–3 minutes.

Add lime juice and Thai basil. Remove from heat.

Dip a rice paper in warm water for 5–10 seconds.

Fill with beef, herbs, and veggies. Fold and roll tightly.

Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Serve with dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use regular basil if Thai basil isn’t available.
- Make the filling ahead to speed up assembly.
- Best served fresh; refrigerate leftovers wrapped in damp towels.
